Advertiser Regestrations

I've noticed that we've recently been getting many members joining which appear to be machine-generated accounts. All the accounts have their websites and interests set as links to advertising websites (gambling and meds for example). Just suggesting something be done about this.

we used to have a captcha but it got removed (I think Jason said he removed it...)

but, so far no spam.

Still, I suggest action...they are coming in thick and fast and will begin to pile up if measures aren't taken.

so who know how to hack? :twisted: THEY could do something :twisted: :laugh:
One suggestion is the img code thing when they register but I dont know if that is an option for the forum or not

PHPbb's version isn't very effective at stopping spambots unfortunatly :(

Action IS being taken. Every time we (likeafox and the mod team) find a spam account it gets taken down. Obviously our efforts haven't been noticed.

Yes, any effort to send Isolde after those spambots is always greatly appreciated [Trust me, she could probably do a number on them, or just leave it to Stephan =3]
