I need the Stuff section! Either make it into a board or something or put the page back! By only having the forum we are destroying the purpose of Define Cynical! :(

Be patient Doog, the forum has only just been restored. You can't expect everything at once.

I want the cool emoticons, like glomp and wag, back :(

And the board spruced up a bit, naturally, but the glomp and wag emoticons are far more important.

On a less moany note, nice one, I love what you've done with the place. The previous points still stand, just not to the extent they might appear to.

I would think the far more important things would be linking to the News, Chat and Stuff sections the old site had (whether they were updated or not) and putting the Define Cynical banner up. :?

Doog: You've been annoying enough goatse-ing the forum and stuff. Chill out for a while, or we'll set you ablaze

As for the forum, kinda reminds me a bit of the now-dead PDU forum. =/

Not you, Jack. I edited the post for clarification.

Out of curiosity - why can't I get my avatar working? Tried both uploading from my harddrive and uploading from a url.

I was just about to ask that Gizensha. I even double checked the size in case that was wrong.

Don't know, there is a 20KB limit to avitars, that might be the issue, I would guess that the forum would accept most of the normal types of image formats.

The avatar I was trying to upload is 4.18 KB, so I don't think size is the issue.

Not sure what size the avatar I was trying to use was, but it was the one I had on the old forum and I've never had a problem with it on any other forum before...

I'm having the same issue. Here's the error message I'm getting:

I think Felix had the same issue with his forums a while back, which was fixed by modifying the permissions.

I'm just linking to avy - it's easier.

And yes, that is a permissions issue. Set the write and sticky bits on the images/avatars folder. (Write so you can, well, upload to it, and sticky because it's a good idea)
