Here are some ideas for ya' (Yes, some of these are just new names for stuff you already have. Sue me.):
The Official Website

Fan Contributions

Questions & Polls
Questions about Ozy and Millie go here.

Da Lounge
The same thing as the current "anything" forum.

Game Dome
The place to play some forum games... would really a lot better when we get more members

Media
Any media-type stuff would go here. Movies, TV, video games, (non-Ozy and Millie) comics, whatever.

The Airport
A place to announce arrivals (like being new or coming back from a vacation) and departures (like going on vacation or leaving the forum permanently).

The Bank
A place too put classic threads that have been locked. Once again, would be much better once we get larger.

Suggestions
Just this forum.

That's all I can think of right now. I have a headache.

Be careful not to create too many new forums. It makes the place "feel" empty even if it's not, and people don't post as much if that happens. So if you make a new forum, make it a good one.

The model that has worked really well on a gaming board I've frequented for about 5 years (where I met my wife):

Community forums
- general babble forum
- serious discussion forum
- tech discussion forum (later split off a "classified ads" forum due to high use, and some popular but hard-to-find controllers people wanted to sell to others they knew would use them)
- password-protected flamewar / sensitive issue forum
- creative stuff forum (artwork, programming, etc.)

Game related forums
- single player
- multiplayer (including LAN parties)
- game development

Other stuff
- board suggestions
- testing

I think a similar model would work very well here, replacing the game-related forums with a comic strip forum. And, as I said before, don't make too many forums for the current member level, or it'll feel dead and people will quit posting.

The forums we have now seem pretty fair to me as they are now. If any of them appear too crowded after a while and we find new discussions that appear to be able to support its own forum, then a new one might help. It's still too early; people can navigate this place just fine with the forums we have now.

When we need a new forum, we'll know it.

Yeah, I dislike boards with too many forums myself. It can sort of seem intimidating for some reason.

Also, when there are lots of forums, with some about things you aren't bothered with, sometimes people who post at the board alot can refeer to something that happened on another forum which you don't visit. Confusing.

You're right, we should wait untill we get larger.

I would hold a poll and see who likes what best.

That way a forum that no one ever posts in wont be made.

Seems okay now, but for some reason "The Site" would seem better than "The site" to me. Dunno why...

The forum has enough subforums now, I think. We can add more when more members join.

Preferably, designate a forum for O&M discussion only. Subforums can be about recent strips, etc. And another for general discussion that does not reach volatile topics - politics, for instance. And a forum that does reach volatile topics. We'll probably be discussing politics a lot, considering the content of DC's comics. <img src='

I agree with Salad Man. With more arrivals of people, I think we will need an "airport" forum <img src='
