I never thought The New Yorker, of all sources, would stoop this low.

See, that image would have been fine if only for the addition of one extra element: The whole thing wrapped up in a speech baloon coming out of a generic pundit looking character. Possibly speaking to a shocked-looking John Q. Public.

The cover makes perfect sense given the articles inside said cover. But the proportion of people viewing the cover compared to that of people actually reading the articles is skewed towards people not reading the article that says these kinds of rumors are bad with a capital t that rhymes with p that stands for pool.

Haha, now *this* is going to be a huge boost to Obama's campaign. I wonder if it was orchestrated by his supporters?

I was shocked when I saw it was the New Yorker. But when I started to think about it, it began to make sense. I bet if you look, the New Yorker threw their support behind Hillary Clinton. Apparantly they are still bitter.

I learned today that it was supposed to satirize the false idea of Obama as a fanatic Muslim. Obviously, it fell flat as satire.

And John McCain has gained a little respect from me by agreeing that it was in bad taste.

All of these stereotypes of the Obama campaign can be traced to FOX News and Newscorp. The great thing about this whole thing is that people feel bad for Obama because of all the stereotypes and this can only help the Campaign. ^^
