Earthquake felt across much of UK

Pity I was in a nightclub at the time and the bass drowned everything out!
Anyone else ever felt an earthquake?

This was a pansy earthquake (5.6 on the Richter scale I believe). I'm not sure what all the fuss was about - it didn't even wake me up. The biggest story they could find on it was that some guy broke his leg or something when his chimney collapsed.

I talked to a Geography teacher about it, but that's about the height of the excitement that the earthquake caused.

I did. I was right in the middle of the Loma Prieta earthquake.

I'm in the wrong part of the world for earthquakes, lucky me. Only natural disaster my area's likely to get hit with is the occasional hurricane.

Twice. The latest was the one that hit about 35 miles from Seattle in 2001. The other I think hit near Yellowstone.. it's been so long I can't remember the details of that one, other than the house shaking.

I'm in the wrong part of the world for earthquakes, lucky me. Only natural disaster my area's likely to get hit with is the occasional hurricane.

I felt the very same one. That's the only earthquake I've ever felt, though I'm told one hit somewhere near Vancouver Island once while I was sleeping.

Back in early 2003 I believe, there was a small quake just on the Alabama side of the GA/AL border. I actually did feel it cause I was in the process of waking up at the time. Not much of a big deal. I sure didn't think it was an Earthquake cause that just doesn't happen down here.

I once slept through an earthquake when I was 8.
Me too, as a matter of fact. At or near age 8. Saw a few fallen items in the morning. But my dad is a light sleeper and kinda freaked. (You'd think his screech would wake me.)
