Another Big Super Bowl Upset

Postby GeorgiaCoyote » Mon Feb 04, 2008 2:33 pm

I can't believe I'm the first one posting this....oh wait...yeah I can. Anyway I just have to say that that was one of the best Super Bowl games I've ever seen. To think I almost didn't watch it at all. I had missed the first half cause the game was so dang early and I had prior engagements. Turns out I didn't miss much. Once I turned it on and saw it was a close game I started to think that this could really be a good one. Boy was it ever. What an exciting finish. This was truly the type of game I love to see. Close game...more than two lead changes...not knowing for sure who would come out on top....and that play...I mean how did little Eli escape getting sacked and then to get off that pass and then David Tyree's catch...oh man what a catch. I could go on and on but quite frankly my fingers are getting a little tired. Bottom line: Congratulations NY Giants and spoiling the Patriots quest for history. Poor Patriots...to come so close and fall just short...I almost feel sorry for them...almost. I just can't bring myself to feel sorry for them when their coach doesn't have enough class to stay and walk off the field with his team. Also can't feel sorry for Tom Brady. Yes he's a great quarterback and probably the best when it comes to staying calm and keeping focused but I think he needed to be knocked down a little. He'll still be one of the best to ever play the game. He'll just have to try again for perfection. Great game and as for the commercials, I have to say I was once again disappointed just like last year. Not too many good ones at all at least from what I saw. I kinda got a kick out of the Stewie and Underdog balloon fighting over the Coke balloon but it want be one that sticks in my mind for a long while. Ok..I'm typed out. Check back with y'all later.

The game sucked. The Pats sucked. Most of the commercials sucked. I could've come in for the last quarter and seen basically the whole action of the game.

In case you haven't guessed, I'm still bitter from last night. :P
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

Why do you even bother bringing up commercials? 99% of the time, "good commercial" is the ultimate oxymoron.

There...there...it'll pass. There's always next year.

Only bring it up because a lot of people watch the Super Bowl just to see what crazy ads are featured. I've seen some hysterical ones in past superbowls but this year it been...bleah. A lot of em just left me scratching my head and saying What the hell was that even about? Course I tend to do that with a lot of TV ads.

I still liked the Audi ad/Godfather spinoff.

But yeah, that game sucked.

That was a great Ad XD And I loved that they got one of the top spots (or at least earliest).

Also, horrible game? I think you mean GREAT game! :P

<----- Giants fan

but yeah, Eli really made a name for himself finally, which probably made his family proud. And you could see Peyton in the box getting riled up when the Giants got their touchdowns.

All in all, it was a great game, great defense and offense by both sides.

that, and it's always great to see the uppity Tom Brady get knocked around... a LOT.

That game RULED. Probably the best Superbowl I've ever seen. I'm saying this as someone from Massachusetts.

Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

I, also being from Massachusetts, thought the game was amazing.

Then again I'm a huge Giants fan. O:

The only people who would say the game sucked or those who are bitter or those who don't understand football and think a game needs to have a huge score to be good. The way the Giants controlled the football on offense and controlled the Patriots while on defense was amazing.

It's the biggest Super Bowl upset since 2002 when the favored-by-14 Rams were beaten by... the New England Patriots. What goes around comes around, eh?

Anyway, I'm not a fan of either team (don't hate either team either for that matter), but it was a great game. Far better than the last 2 Super Bowls.

We get it. You are British and you do not care. It is redundant now. Yawn.
