It's coming towards my area! I think we will all be okay, but I might not turn my computer on during that time. I see what the weather is like, though, so it's up in the air. It's only a tropical storm, though.
Hopefully, me, Fritz, Angela, Holyman83, and the rest of us will be okay. My college was closed for the rest of the evening, but I got my classes in.
Not to worry folks!
Any thoughts, folks?

If it's anything like Thunderstorm Rita, we'll be fine.

Three new threads in one hour...whoa.
But seriously, best of luck to those in the path of the storm.

It's gonna hit the hardest generally southeast of Houston, which means me and Fritz are in the clear of the heaviest shtuff. I don't know about the rest of you, though, and there might be isolated spots that get a whole 15" of rain. Best of luck to those star-crossed souls.

It appears the storm will move off to extreme East Texas (Beaumont, Port Arthur, orange) and Louisiana. I won't get a drop out of this storm, but I can't quite vouch for everyone else, but no one here will get any of the worst. Actually I'm kinda disappointed that nothing is going to happen.

Of course, it became the fastest-forming hurricane ever before it landed.

15" of rain? Is that it?
Parts of Yorkshire was pretty much under 15 FOOT of rain for most of August.
