5,101: The total number of new recruits signed up by the Army in May, short of its goal of 5,500. It is the Army's first significant recruiting slip in two years.
 I had no idea it was that high, especially now that the war's unpopular even in the U.S. The Army shouldn't be disappointed.

On second thought, I decided to remove the picture. It was somewhat offensive.

That's not the kind of camouflage the United States uses...

But whatever, joke gets across I guess.

5,101: The total number of new recruits
25,000 - Roughly the number of US Military casualties (dead and wounded) since the war "ended"

The armed forces give good benefits, and takes care of you.

No joke.

He speaks the truth. It's a good career, you just have to hope you don't end up in the shit, but that's the chance you take.

1 month vs many many more. The politicians saying "The war is over" was an attempt at a political move to gain support of the people, whilst the Generals knew it would take years to bring Iraq to the point where it's own police and military could once again resume full control (after all, as history showed us with Japan in WWII, the time it took to perform the reparations also took years, and that was in a more stable environment).

Also, where are these numbers being pulled from? I wanted to find general statistics on the US Army, but doing a quick search, all I can find is numbers relating to Iraq, and I want total figures, not just the Iraqi conflict.

It's morning now but that's what I did. Nothing illegal mind you (I've never done illegal drugs, believe it or not), just watched an episode of Sesame Street brought to you by the letters J and B
