After about the 5th thread about this, I stopped caring.
Took long enough.

Tough decision he had to make, "do I pardon Nixon or not?". It's not something I'd like to have to do.

It does sound like quite the awkward position.

Why is everyone so happy that Ford is dead!?
>:0
Everyone i've heard talk about this was either joking or happy he died. Have you people no sense of mourning?
(this isn't directed solely at DC, it is to everyone else in my life too and is only a rant cause i'm sick of it)
I mean, c'mon! At least respect the dead. I don't know how bad a president he may have been, I didn't learn much about him and wasn't alive at the time. Just don't got mocking the dead.

I take it soberly. He was very likable as Presidents go. I'm not particularly sad he's dead, but that's because he died so old and of natural causes. Maybe some of these happy people are thinking, "He's finally out of his misery."

James brown>Gerald Ford>.... Maybe Tommy Ramone (the other three are dead now, I wouldn't be surprised). Its not exactly sad, more like a solemn occasion, one to recognize the end of someone's life.

Maybe it was that guy who created Scooby Doo. (I notice he died within a month of Barbera....)

How about Frank Campanella, an American actor, who died on the 30th?

I have no problems mocking the dead. The
recently dead however, should be respected, and not made fun of. Especially not with things like "It's about time he died". Because how different is that from "I wish he would hurry up and die"?
