I guess having polititions in power who are unable to do their jobs is not a step backwards.

So that would be why your nation not only elected but re-elected a certain Texan moron named George W. Bush to office? This was presumably on the grounds that the American ideal prohibits discrimination not only on the bases of race, creed and colour but also on basis of ability...
