It has passed both the House and the Senate now. I was thinking of going to university in the US for a year next year or so, but I'm not so sure if I want to when the US government can throw me in jail indefinately.

As long as you don't smell like the weed your country is known for, I don't think officials would have anything against you.

You don't even need to be framed. According to that, the US president now has the power to throw you into solitary for any reason he likes, and doesn't actually have to give a reason for it.

I love the idea that the US Government is becomming what they feared all those years...a totalitarian state with the illusion of free choice for it's citizens.
