Opposite superstition

Once in a while, I hear about superstitions from different cultures that contrast starkly. Black cats, for example, can be signs of bad luck or good luck. My paper today demonstrates another example:
234: The number of Chinese couples, ranging from 19- to 56-year-olds, married in a mass ceremony in Malaysia Tuesday, 06/06/06. Six is pronounced like "luck" in the Hokkien dialect, meaning a wedding Tuesday would have triple luck.

That is great! :wag:

In Hell, no one seemed to care that it was 06/06/06, except for a few protesters across the street. They were saying things like "The real Hell is no joke" and "Do you think it's funny, your parents burning in hell for all of eternity?"

Of course, there were signs in response, my favorite being "If Hell is so bad, then why is it so crowded?"
