David Blaine Is FINALLY Out!

Postby Llewthepoet » Tue May 09, 2006 3:19 pm

David Blaine FINALLY left his underwater "fish bowl" after being submerged in it for a week. He failed to break the underwater breath holding record, only 7 minutes and 8 seconds.

Yay! No more David Blaine updates! Yeesh!

I cought the last few minutes of the live show. Sucks that he didn't break the record for the escape or the breath, but he did stay in a sphere of water for a week. That's insane.

Good. He's an annoying publicity hound.

7 minutes is still an incrediably long time.

But I too am glad he'll be away from the news for a bit, until next week I suppose.

He's a publicity hog.
He's not better than any other proffesional escape artist or illusionist, just gets more media attention.

It's better than hearing about American Idol or celebrities who get married and divorced once for every season. How did that ever become news? (rhetorical question)

Unfortunately, he's suffering from permenant skin, liver and brain damage because of this, so he'll probably die 10 years sooner than if he hadn't done it.

...

Still, way to endure crazy stuff, I guess.

We would all feel really bad if he died tomarrow. :?
Brutal honesty: Maybe some of us. :?

I don't really have much of an opinion though.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...
