I don't get what the news is here, Sherwood Forest ceased being a forest in like...the 1700s when it was felled to be hunting ground for gentry.
It's sad, but at one time most of England, Wales, and Scotland were forests. Now it's how it is now, and I prefer it. We still have forests, we still have trees. I just prefer farmland as you can see more.
I mean, this would have once all been just trees:
