You are right - this exporsure is going to get the show A LOT of attention. However, if it was the company's plan to have all this happen (which I'd like to believe it wasn't), then that is utterly horrible.
I almost have to believe they intended for something like this to happen (btw, did they happen to identify the guy who called in the tip? :ninja:) because how else would they have expected to get any publicity off these things? Of course, you do have to take into account the average intelligence/sanity/sobriety of your typical Cartoon Network employee.
Eh, it's Williams Street. I don't expect much of anything from them anymore. So I can totally see them running this promotion knowing they wouldn't get any publicity. Of course, they got lucky.

using another companies publicity stunt to draw rating to yourself, while discrediting others. Either thats the brainchild of a brilliant marketer, or the insane plans of a world dominator.

Anyway, to anyone who thought this was funny (looking at you, Rooster) or meaningless or whatever, first off, it cost the city about $700,000. Not cool considering how overbudget we are. Second, this crap closed off all the major roads and severely hampered train services. That made my train home from school late and made getting out of the city a complete and total mess. Third, this is gonna cost the MBTA money too. (Not that I mind too much in this case because they can track you with the Charlie Card- basically EZPass for trains.)
Firstly, I still think its funny. Secondly, other than making people late and the police blowing stuff up a bit, how did it cost 700k? Seriously?

Also, I love a bit of chaos in my city. It keeps me on my toes. I was evacuated from my house last year as the London Bombers were from the estate behind me. It was annoying, but it was still an experience.
Lastly, Turner sucks for this. I hope Boston wins the lawsuit.
Yay, when all else fails, sue thy fellow man.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds this hilarious. It's clear (I hope) that a device in transparent casing containing LEDs and 4 D cells is hardly a bomb. It doesn't take an expert to see that, and I'm sure they had many experts.

Boston was asking for it. What with it being founded by Puritans and all.?

I've never been a fan of anything on Adult Swim other than Futurama anyway, so I guess I'm already boycotting.~

I find it amusing that no one has selected "no"<
