And the winner is...
Brazil, unfortunately. They're owned by Nike though, so what did you expect?

I've got a little money on Sweeden (lucky dip sweepstakes), rooting for England.

Best final game, though, would be USA vs Iran. That'd get some people stirred :P
The end is nigh!

I'm hoping the trend of less prominent teams reaching the semi-finals will continue, but who will it be?

Yet remember England, in the immortal words of John Cleese- when Germany comes to town or you visit them...

Don't mention the war!

Great video, thanks.

Currently the US is getting hammered by the Czechs, it's now half time and alread it's 2-0 for the Czech Republic.

Well, so much for that. The U.S. got beat like a red-headed stepchild. I think someone forgot to tell them the Czechs are pretty good.

I can see the newspapers now: "U.S. bounced by Czechs." :P

YEAH! Germany won against Poland with 1 : 0!

I watched the game in the lecture hall of my university with 400 other students. The atmosphere was like in a stadium. The goal jubilations after the goal in the 90th minute was ear-battering.

Oh, and I've got a ticket for Australia vs. Croatia. I am not sure yet which team I should support. Maybe Australia.

Heh. They waited until literally the last minute. Oh well, doesn't matter. 3 points is 3 points, as they say. :D

I'm curious as to who stands where in what for standings, games played, and whatnot. Us Yanks [To use the term loosely to refer to Americans as a whole] are hard pressed to find soccer updates here, which only gets a brief mention in the sports section [if that].
