"Jesus Asked Judas to Betray Him"

I'd post the news story, yet this forum seems to dislike me and refuses to do it from some Debug Mode thing or other.

I see it as being authentic, but written by someone a century or so after Christ's death in order to fit the doctrine of the Gnostics. For it's almost certain Judas didn't write this, and, if these events did take place, how did anyone find out?

Furthermore, this interpretation was abandoned long ago. While one cannot pass off the writings as fake, I wouldn't hold them with much worth or truth. But that's me.

On the other hand, without Judas, Jesus would have been forgotten.

If he'd died as a sickly old man instead of being "miraculously reborn" it would've been tough to tell him apart from the dozen other mystics of the time.

I was the master's best friend
He was the only man I knew
It's been a tall harvest
That he turned us all onto
But my lips are sealed by history
And my tale I cannot tell
My name is Jude Iscariot
and my home address is hell
