Send in the tanks to break down the prison wall and go get them?<br><br>Apparently, that's what UK forces have done in Basra today.<br><br>Iraqi officials state that UK forces staged a tank-led rescue on the prison where they were being held.<br><br>British officials state that their release was negotiated, but they DID accidently run through the wall in one of their tanks when they went to "pick them up."<br><br>Me? Well, it's pretty clear that the Iraqi population, or at least a good amount of it, would rather that all coalition forces just left. Sometimes I wonder if we shouldn't just pull them all out of Iraq and give them what they want, despite the probable chaos this would cause if the country is still unable to regulate itself.

Yes, I thought that myself also Rooster, and I'm sure you will agree that it is this which makes the actions of <i>some</i> Iraqis so infuriating, if only that they fail to see how the coalition remains in Iraq primarily for its benefit.
