Yes, that's right. Some utter genious decided to post a buddy Jesus picture from Kevin Smith's Dogma (a film I love) somewhere in Bhagdad. I swear, some people are just stupid. Did they not thing it would offend, or what?

Well, I'm sure that whoever put it up didn't anticipate that people would mistake a caricature of Jesus for a caricature of a Shiite holyman. Maybe he thought, like George Carlin's character, that the new look would attract more followers than the disturbing image of a crucifix.

Still unwise, naturally.

Interesting how the article calls it "Buddy Jesus" and not "Buddy Christ."
