Well obviously we should have defined the quality of mattering before we started this debate because it seems that we are argueing using different definitions. Its a common fallacy in argumentation. Furthermore, I'd like to point out that your attempt to link Pluto's planethood with people that supposedly don't matter smacks of ad hominem, which is the argumentational fallacy where a speaker attacks his opponent directly rather than the arguments posed because he and/or she can't argue against them successfully.I highly doubt the validity of that survey. It obvously did not feature a large variety of people who matter.
So, lets back up and define that elusive quantity of "matter" shall we? I believe that everybody's opinion should be taken for fair consideration so therefore I guess I think most of everybody matters, big softy that I am.
