That's 8 letters. I know that's not right.
Dang. I'll give you credit since you only answered half of the riddle.

Anyway here is the next.

There is a seven letter word in the english language that contains ten words without rearranging any of the letters. What is the word?
My dad was an English teacher while he was still alive, so I am automatically eliminating myself from answering since he's pulled this one on me several times.

All the letters can be inverted and look the same.

Wondering what you meant by half the riddle, I looked it up and it looks like a lowercase l can be added to the list.

HOWEVER, after a few days, if no correct answer is given, I'll submit MY answer...

Because I said to say why because people like Lewis would like to know why. I very sure Lewis is going to have to answer this one for everyone.

Rats, I heard this riddle before, but I forget the answer.

Glad Lewis liked my riddle, anyway.

Wait, I have an idea:

PIRATES -- PI, IRATE, RAT, RATE, RATES, AT, A, ATE, PIRATE... okay, never mind. That's more than seven words.

He said ten words, and "pirates" seems to fill that criterion, if you include the word itself.

There is one word in the English language (as far as I know) which contains three consecutive sets of double letters. What is it?

That would lead to a RIVER of answers actually...
**snickers**
...There's a couple, but I'll refrain for now...
**steps back and waits**
...Are we having fun yet?
