Let's see, these are two of my favorite word puzzles, which leads me to believe that it's entirely possible for others to have heard of them also. If you have heard of them, just post that you've heard, and don't pretend to guess and get it right, cause that's cheating <img src='

For example, "balloon has two sets in a row, find a word with three.

These are my two favorite, also fairly simple once you know the words. Also, I'm always on the lookout for other word games, so post those also <img src='

I've heard of the games, but I've never found the words, but seeing how I have some free time on my hands I have a new project to find them.

i was taught that y's can count as vowels in some cases (as can w's). and in this case, i'd think that they are. i believe the definition of a vowel is that when you say the word, no part of your tounge/mouth touches another (say 'cat' - the back of your tounge tuches the roof of your mouth on the c, the tip of your tung tuches the roof of your mouth on t, but not so on the a) although maybe forthe purposes of this game, y counts as a consenent, i dunno what definitionns lansydyr is using.

I too have heard that 'y's can be used as vowels but aren't they still consonants? They don't always serve as a vowel do they? Anyway, i can't think of any other words, unless someone wants to read through the entire dictionary.

Well, since I didn't specify, I'm not going to say wrong to the two words. However, the word I have as the answer has "full" consonants, not a "confused" letter like 'y' that never knows what it wants to be

No one has thought about the second problem either. I'll check back every day or so, depending on if I have the free time to be on the 'Net.

[Hint 1: The first word is actually part of the name of a fictional school]

[Hint 2: The second word is a combination of two other words to make a new one]

I don't think 'shhhh' exactly counts as a word, and deciding to leave it to a fair an unpartial judge, I checked it out with
www.dictionary.com. (actually, it found 'SHHH" in the acronym finder, but very close ) Any no, acronyms don't count either

No such luck, but keep trying. Ask a librarian and he/she might be able to help out with the second word. You'll have to resort to a bit of trickery to find the first word, though. Good luck! Hopefully that should help you find the two words! <img src='

Wayside School isn't the fictional school I'm talking about. The school was just in the news dealing with a governmental problem, where a top government leader was convinced that the School Principal was trying to encourage a hostile takeover of government. (Ok, that hint gives just about EVERYTHING away, if you can't get the word now, then there's no hope for you guys )

The second word deals with a lot of reading, and taking care of what you read. I guess if by the next time I check the boards, no one has figured out the words, I'll post the answers. Good luck (although with the hints, you shouldn't need luck <img src='
