e,n

Those are the first letters of one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.

Yes nick. You got it.

What is so unusual about this paragraph.

"Gatsby was walking back from a visit down in Branton Hill's manufacturing district on a Saturday night. A busy day's traffic had had its noisy run; and with not many folks in sight, His Honor got along without having to stop to grasp a hand, or talk; for a mayor out of City Hall is a shining mark for any politician. And so, coming to Broadway, a booming bass drum and sounds of singing, told of a small Salvation Army unit carrying on amidst Broadway's night shopping crowds. Gatsby, walking towards that group, saw a young girl, back toward him, just finishing a long, soulful oration ... "

It doesn't contain the letter 'e'.

Here's one:

A farmer has nine pigs. How can he put them all in four pens with an odd number of pigs in each pen?

not containing an "e" isn't unusual.

Arrange the pens like this:

Technically, that's five pens. Good answer, though.

Each pen is nested inside the other and they're all in the centre pen? Technically they are inside 4 pens that way.

Heh, yes, that also works.

What if I specify that each pen has to contain a different combination of pigs? Any pig may be in more than one pen.

Ummm... One pen with 3 pigs, inside of another pen that has 2 additional pigs in it(Five total for the outer pen). A separate pen with 3, and a separate pen with 1. :?:

But that would be pretty much in the same vein as my answer...

Yes nick. You got it.

What is so unusual about this paragraph.

"Gatsby "
gave it away, the book has no Es in it

also since E is most generally used letter, paragraphs written specifically that avoid it are hard to come by. Like finding a jar of pennies smashed on the ground and seeing that every one of them were face up (Or 95% of a deviation from a 50/50 split to be statistically relevant v0v)

Along those lines, answer this one:
Dragons elaborate facts in neferious events. Consequently, yes, none interpret circumstances and lie. Why don't they misinterpret and bend the truth?

here's a hint

the meaning is irrelavant, look at the structure

Yep, that is one possible arrangement. There are a couple of others - you can take 3 pens and put 3 pigs in each, and surround the 3 pens with a fourth pen, for example.

For the record, I quite liked osprey's answer for the simplicity.
