France succesfully repelled the Moors, probably saving Western civilization at the time from the rapidly expanding Muslims (this isn't meant in a deragotary way if you're offended).

Also France was the ultimate victor over England after several setbacks in the Hundred Years War. France was also the victor (with help from the Swedish) over the German states and Austria in the Thirty Years War and over the Spanish shortly after.

France also supplied crucial help to the American colonies in their war of independance. Later France and allies were the victors in the Crimean War. France put valiant fights in both World Wars, one musn't base the view of the French in World War 2 on the Vichy state.

FACT: Upon seeing Like_D00D's new avatar, I remembered Millie saying, "I like cheese." I then got the image of Millie messily wolfing down cheese and Ozy giving her napkins.

Fact: Water does indeed have a taste, but humans are physically incapable of tasting it, they can only taste the impurities it contains. Dogs however, as well as many other species can.

FACT: The most anyone could possibly win on "Jeopardy!"
