It's about not hiding what you see as the truth, just because it isn't acceptable, but instead presenting it in an open manner. There are all sorts of punks, in all sorts of society. The main thing is that they are "real" they don't distort their personality to be cool, but simply to reflect who they are on the inside, even if that means amplifying one's outward emotions. The fact that I am pointing out that you lack the understanding to see this is proof enough for me, that I am a punk, now what's you're hand?!
