Longtime Lurker coming out from the Lurky Spot

Postby jennytablina » Sat Oct 17, 2009 11:31 pm

*crawls out Lurky spot, looks around a little shyly*

Err...Hi there!

Long-time fan of O&M, part-time lurker of these forums here. Started really reading about a year ago prior to O&M finishing and I've been enjoying the commentary and the rather amusing discussions on Raine-Dog and such since. That I feel rather obligated to join and add my voice somehow : )

Good to see the forum thriving after the comic ended and such. Was worried it would all go kaput which is a shame as this is a rather nice forum from what I've seen, cushy set-up and all zany-yet-nice types.

Welcome to DC! Please accept this gift of fava beans and a nice bottle of chianti.

Edit: You also desire the same career as me =D

Quote for truth.

And yeah, by the time DCS unlinked us for being too "toxic" of a place, most of the forum was here for the community, not so much the O&M fanbase-ness that started the place originally.

Welcome to DC.

It's true that this place isn't very oriented around any of the comics, other than talking about whats wrong (which is usually everything) with the new Raine Dog strips. As I've said before, we're more of just a retarded family at this point, but a lovely one nonetheless. I'm sure you'll find you're place here, if I did.

And yes, I would highly suggest going to the chatroom. It gives you a chance to really get to know people better, or just lurk around, as 70% of the people who are usually there do. I'm almost always there as long as I'm on the computer.

Welcome to the forum! Don't let the ratio of male to female drive you off. As long as we stick together, we can over power the men! >:D

Cambridge, eh? Whereabouts? Not that I'm a stalker or anything like that.

And if you're lucky enough I may even make an appearence... But in all seriousness welcome to DC, we're awaiting a new shipment of flamethrowers and flameproofing coupons so you unfortunately run the risk of either being set on fire or spontaneously combusting. Chances are someone has a bucket of water with them.... Or a fire-estinguisher.

It's a little old, but you can have my coupon. Use it wisely:

Hello to you! Good to see new members around lately, especially a fellow girl!
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...
