Being Evacuated

Fire. Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiire. More specifically, the Station Fire in SoCal (Glendale, La Canada, now La Crescenta). My house is now in the mandatory evacuation zone. No idea what's going to happen to us, and yes, it's very possible our house is going to burn down.

See you all when I'm not in danger of burning to death.

Hope your house doesn't burn down. Also, try not to spontaneously combust.

Fare thee well, try not to die, and I do hope your house doesn't burn down also.

Hope everything turns up roses, but please forgive me for thanking the Good Lord for making Manchester the rainiest city in England.

In the most anticlimactic (but most convenient and easy) outcome, we stayed overnight in our own home because we hadn't yet been told to get out, and the next morning (that being NOW), the evacuation order was lifted.

Well damn. I feel simultaneously happy and disappointed.
