Osprey: Ooo...the Dimmit, Texas tornado. 02 June 1995. One of the most well documented tornadoes ever...the Project VORTEX (VErification of the Origin if Rotation in Tornadoes EXperiment) mobile mesonet fleet managed to surround it for it's entire life cycle and take all kinds of readings. They even got great radar images from the original DOW (Doppler on Wheels) mobile Doppler radar. At the time that picture was taken, I believe it was about a half mile wide. (Sorry about the ramble, but I'm a bit of a weather geek. Especially when it comes to tornadoes.)
Nice to see that there's another weather person here, Arloest. What aspect of meteorology are you into? (And that is pretty convenient.)
