I remember when I was in my teens and I had commented on how our black cat Willy had stopped hunting.  Then I happened to look at the stairway under our back porch, and there was Willy, eating a rabbit.  He turned to look at me, stuck out his tongue a couple of times, then went back to munching away on the rabbit.  It was the only time I ever saw him actually eat anything he had caught; in the past we knew because of the remains he had left.  When I was younger my late father had to clean up the animal parts and after he died it was my turn.
Willy's favorite animal to catch were squirrels; he often left just the bushy tail and large intestine. One time a school friend came to visit and Willy had left the rear half of a squirrel under the porch, whcih we both thought hilarious.
