I forgot to mention that I had my closest encounter with a raccoon yet -- at noon and on a beach, no less. No, pervs, it wasn't like that. He was trying to steal plantain chips from my backpack. Stubborn fellow.

I thought raccoons were nocturnal, and only came out during the day if they have rabies. If that's true, then ZOMG YOU ARE LUCKY!!! If that's not true, then lol snopes.

my friend was cleaning out an elementary school dumpster and got bitten by a raccoon that apparently had lived in there for like half a year. middle of the day.

DCS should've ended the comic a year or two ago.

I suspect that raccoon had grown accustomed to handouts. I've had many encounters with raccoons here in GA but the beach was never one of those places.
