Define Cynical Fan Forums

I finally got creative enough to put together a new layout for my website. I don't want to show it to everyone in the world just yet in order to save some suprise for the real unveiling once I get some new content for it. So, since this isn't a huge forum, I figured it'd be a good place to show off this layout, which I'm particularly proud of.<br><br>Anyway, the image is <a href='http://www.fusiontechva.net/FJL/images/FJL-Site2.jpg' target='_blank'>here</a>, so let me know what y'all think, critique, whatever. I made it in Photoshop, and the actual site will hopefully be built in Flash.<br><br>I was originally going to make a radical change in colours and layout, but I decided I really like the current colour scheme (but I need to make it more easily readable). I couldn't find the original font, so I got this different font that I like.<br><br>Enough of my babbling, time to hit the post button <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--><br><br>[EDIT: Already found a problem with it, I need to center the horizontal line in the sidebar between the Contact link and the Yahoo Groups button.]<br><br>[EDIT2: I finally got a new sig image, yay!]

Not bad, maybe you could put your name in dark purple going diagonally arcoss as the background and if you want maybe some purple lines to fill in the bottom and right edges.<br>And it'd be really snazzy if those links "lit up" when you moved your mouse over them.<br>But what really makes a webpage good is how the guy writing all the content talks to you.<br><br>I remember one by this person I can't remember much about but all the writing in it seemed so... I dunno, but she was being completely herself and it really stood out and made it a pleasure to be there.

That font is so clich.

BSP: The diagonal thing is a bit too abstract for my tastes. And I said I was animating it in Flash, the links will do much cooler things than simply lighting up upon mouseover.<br><br>Salad: The font is cliche? How so?
