Dunkin' Donuts is for yankees and coffee drinkers that want to eat a cake that looks like a doughnut
Krispy Kreme is for people that like actual doughnuts

I don't know anymore. I grew up around Dunkin' Donuts and thought they were awesome, but I haven't seen one in over a decade, now...and we didn't have Krispy Kreme in Vermont. But up in Seattle, they're everywhere, so...
Well, I don't feel I can compare and contrast fairly. I think I'd need to try each no less than a week apart before I'd feel like I could make an honest judgment.
For now, I'll have to go with Krispy Kreme, if only because of access.

they're really entirely different products, glazed doughnuts and cake doughnuts. it's more a matter of which type of food do you like, rather than which brand is better.
case in point, there's a mexican bakery downtown that sells home-made doughnuts, but they're cakes like dunkin' donuts, so I don't like them despite Ibun's otherwise true statement. (their churros, though...)

I would have to say Dunkin Donuts, because there are about 15 in my immediate vicinity. The nearest Krispy Kreme, however, is about one hundred miles away.

-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.

-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

I do agree with this. On the south and west side of San Antonio there are a lot of Mexican Bakeries (big surprise huh?) They do sell doughnuts there but I don't buy them. I just buy the mexican sugar cookies which are like the best cookies in the world (There is a reason why diabetes is common among hispanics people) A little off topic however. Anyway I do eat any brand of doughnuts really. I eat both KK and DD brands but I really perfer KK. I even eat the cheap HEB brand doughnuts.case in point, there's a mexican bakery downtown that sells home-made doughnuts, but they're cakes like dunkin' donuts, so I don't like them despite Ibun's otherwise true statement. Back when Krispy Kreme was becoming stupidly popular, they opened up like 100 of them near me. Now, they're ALL out of business, but you still can't throw a pebble without hitting a Dunkie's.
As for the products, I've had exactly two Krispy Kreme donuts in my life. They're delicious, but they sit in the bottom of your stomach for days. And their coffee is TERRIBLE! So, yes, Dunkie's please.

In the UK, there are no Dunkin' Donuts branches (that I know of) and Krispy Kreme branches are few and far between. Still, the doughnuts I've had at Krispy Kreme have been very good indeed.
Can't beat a warm just-fried sugared doughnut from a stall, though. Mm.

Dammit I wish we had those here. Unless by "stall" you mean lavatory. In the UK, there are no Dunkin' Donuts branches (that I know of) and Krispy Kreme branches are few and far between. Still, the doughnuts I've had at Krispy Kreme have been very good indeed.
