Can't be bothered to sign up for this (and the what-shameful-applications-you're-running tracker doesn't work on Linux anyway), so I'll follow Ibun's example and just list them:

Firefox
Pidgin
Evolution Mail
X-Chat 2
KTorrent
Amarok
gedit
gnome-terminal
Audacity
Steam (and games thereof)
Various Linux games (Nexuiz, Armagetron, Frets on Fire etc.)
Audacious
VLC
xine
OpenOffice.org
Abiword
Skype

Those are the only GUI applications I use regularly.

Yeah I always wanted something like this to tell me what program had the active focus and for how long and to give me a graph.

But having something that puts its online is pretty much purposely installing what would be spyware.

I'd rather not take the security risk of joining whatever this is, so I'll just list the programs I use most.

Opera 9.6
Microsoft Office 2008
Skype
Colloquy
Vuze
eyeTV

I dislike the idea of tracking program usage. This is taking the "lol look at what I'm doing wheeee!" mentality of last.fm to frightening places. What programs I'm using are none of your business, and I don't care what you're using. Meh.

Yeah, I certainly don't hack into the CIA database using military-grade applications. That's right. I don't.

The trick for naming websites these days seems to be "random combinations of syllables." I guess it's a way to avoid paying the exorbitant prices domain squatters ask for, but it's still weird.

But so is this site. Just when you think Web 2.0 has gotten as pointless as it can, this happens. What's next, ....

Indeed. I find knowing what music people like to be more interesting and useful than knowing what programs they use.
