Futurama: Beast with a Billion Backs; spoilers maybe

So I rented this here movie the other night. Anyone else see it yet? It had horrible, horrible tentacle sex and I know how much you internet peeps love/despise that.

I saw it at a friends house, and it was pretty funny. It did get pretty gross at the tentacle sex though.

As someone who really loves Futurama but really hated 'Bender's Big Score', would you recommend the new one, or is it another self-referential clipshow that feels like putting a lot of effort into saying, "I remember that"?

Something has prevented me from watching more than a few minutes of "Futurama" all told. The apparent premise of this video doesn't help at all.

If it helps at all, said tentacling occurs through the back of the neck.

Giggity, I gotta buy it now.

In all seriousness though, Futurama bores me...I could really never get into the show, and the funny moments are much too few and far between. Also, wtf is with the cases they used to package it? Cheap cardboard, not plastic...when we got the shipment of them at work, I grabbed a huge handful out of the box, and I crushed a couple cause I was expecting plastic.

Ehhhhhhh........ honestly, it's okay. Feels like the could have edited it down to one or two episodes, and lost *nothing* in the process. Mind you, it's better than Bender's Big Score', but really, that's not saying much.

Ok. I'll wait for it to sink down into "Bargain Basement Bin" in Tescos and pick it up for a couple of quid.

I was expecting this tepidity.

It's really sad how they're taking advantage of Futurama fans by releasing all of this goddamn pap... they just throw together some shit, slap the word "Futurama" on it, and the starving plebs devour it like so many happy hour peanuts.

Oh, it becomes consenting halfway through and I'm really just digging the hole deeper, aren't I?

Yes, yes I would. For sur-ious though, I actually enjoyed it. It had some/lots mileage may vary genuinely funny moments and it was less "hey, lookit, Futurama is back" than Bender's Big Score. If you like Futurama, I'd say give it a chance. If you didn't like Futurama then all the tentacle neck sex and very thinly, almost tranparent religious metaphors won't make you a convert. Did I mention the tentacle neck sex?

Spoiler spoiler spoiLER: The extra-universal tentacle monster is God/heaven. At the same time. Robots worship the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Probably. It was all a sorta metaphor for polyandry and love! I need scissors, 61!

The tentacle sex sounds alot less titillating than I was hoping for.

I thought Bender's Big Score was pretty good even if the story was too complicated in a bad way. Also the songs were dumb. And what happened to all the development of Fry and Leela's relationship? Weren't they basically a couple at the end of the last season?

Man, I liked Bender's Big Score more when I hadn't bothered to think about it much. Thanks alot meatbags.
