Are you incompetent?

Apparently the majority of the Western work force are considered incompetent in terms of the skills they need to do their job, the number rising sharply as you move towards tertiary positions (which, I'm guessing, would be a significant majority of the userbase here).

So. What's your job and are you incompetent?

I work in an animal research facility, and currently am responsible for 42 Rhesus monkeys, and in this kind of job, incompetency is NOT an option, considering the diseases that we work with.

Yes, I am incontinent. Why do you- oh. How awkward.

I do software development. I consider myself fairly competent. My software works, which is more than I can say for some.

I repair broken phones, laptops, mp3 players, and all manner of other electronical crap. I hate doing it, but I am quite good at it.

I work at a grocery store for now, doing various maintenance jobs as well as register and stuff.

I'm overqualified by now (been working there for over 2.5 years).

I need a new job.

Most people appreciate my work as a copy editor. But I don't do it as efficiently as I can.

I try to fix Land Rovers okay. They are made broken, though.

I work at a small, independently owned lighting store. I am currently performing a wide variety of tasks, such as shipping, receiving, stock movement and organization, inventory, janitorial duties, lighting repair, customer service, cashier duties, putting lights out on display, wiring the displays, and the like. Heck, I don't even know what my job description is anymore. Lighting consultant, maybe?? :D

And no, I don't own the store...

Lighting consultant, maybe??[/size]
At first I read it "lightning consultant." That would be an underling for Zeus, Thor, or someone similar.
