Guy takes Garfield strips, and removes Garfield, so it's just Jon in the strips. (Jim Davis apparently approves, since he's an occasional reader of the site)

That's funny. Garfield normally is a crappy comic.

I'd disagree with you on that, but it's all personal opinion.

Now, I've seen them before, but I do love just how pathetic, lonely and, frankly, unhinged John becomes in these strips.

Regardless! I personally have not seen these before, therefore they are new to me.

So stop being a JERK.

I only found out about it because they had an article on it in the Early Sunday Washington Post. (Sold on Saturdays here in the Washington DC area)

I love that site, it makes Jon seem like he's been imagining he's been talking to his dead cat for years.

If Garfield is so unloved (as that YTMND animation claims), why is it listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most syndicated comic strip in the world? (2,580 newspapers carry it. Quite a lot for a comic that "nobody cares about")

Fritz, this place is acerbic enough without your contribution. Please.

I learned of the Garfield-free strips only a few weeks ago. A year or so before that, I'd seen strips in which only Garfield's thought bubbles were removed. Those are about equally funny overall.
