My forum is now less egotistical.

Yeah, I don't really know what goes on here anymore. I've only just realised who you are and the random 'Look at this!' 'No' exchanges are becoming commonplace.

I didn't join because I'm on more than enough forums as it is.
As to why almost nobody joined, well... a forum needs a strong central theme. DC members are united by a webcomic. TH, not only do you lack your own artwork (unless you're secretly Roman), but you haven't really defined yourself for us. People don't know what makes you special enough to merit a forum apart from others. You tried to start games and news discussions, but there was nothing unique.
I like to think you're interesting. But if I may be frank, what you did is reminiscent of Avery. Sorry.

As one whos admined more then one message board over the years I've been in charge of succesful boards and unsuccessful boards, and plenty of forums as well, running message boards, particularly successful ones is a serious pain in the tail
so unless you want to piss off a great deal of people be advertising like one of those annoying crazy fox commercials you see on at 3 am to anyone you can think of, you won't get member, and people who join will most likely be the scum of Hong Kong or China who will tell you about enlargements, cialis, kitchen cabinents, and world of warcraft
