The Amateur Comic Combine, or even just the Comic Combine (since not all will necessarily be amateur), actually sounds awesome.
The Comic Combine sounds sweet.

I don't really like it. It reminds me of Half Life 2.The Amateur Comic Combine, or even just the Comic Combine (since not all will necessarily be amateur), actually sounds awesome.

Never mind the downtime, albeit brief, that occurred while I was reading this thread... God apparently has a sense of humor.Yes, I mean it's not like I've owned this domain name for just under two years now and we've had 1 downtime due to a server move and 1 due to an April Fool's joke, what an unreliable forum this is?
LIK LOLZ, GET OVER IT GUYZ AND GALZ, LOLOLOLOL, etc.

As far as administration goes: I don't know who I'd pick to run it, but I know who I wouldn't pick: the creators.
See, I've personally always enjoyed the fact that administration of Define Cynical has never been the right or responsibility of D.C. Simpson himself. The former because it means we have the freedom to critique or even criticize a given comic or something, knowing the people who have the ability to delete posts and ban people aren't the ones emotionally invested in the comic; the latter because if D.C. is having a busy week doing other comic-related stuff, we don't have to rely on him to keep this place in order. (Something I have a hunch he appreciates as well.)
In fact, I've always been a wee bit uneasy of "official" forums for stuff for this very reason, and it's part of why I rejected the idea of putting a forum on my website. I would certainly prefer that the cartoonists themselves not be the ones with the power on this forum. Ideally I wouldn't even have us be mods, but I guess we all know that's not going to happen.
