I've become a statistic.

Yes...I am now counted among the many around my state as well as around the USA that have fallen victim to the evil little bug known as Influenza. This really sucks...I can't even remember the last time I had this crap. Not only does this put me behind in work and classes but it just completely shoots all my weekend plans to hell as well. Well hopefully I may start to turn the corner before the weekend comes but one never can tell with these things. On another note, don't forget about the lunar eclipse tonight.

Technically, you were already a statistic, but I wish you well.

The flu...gotta hate it. Hope you get better soon, man! Makes me remember when I had encephalitis. That sucked. Although it probably explains the goofiness I suffer today.
Also, we have a lunar eclipse? Sweet! *checks the times*
................
Dangit, why do all lunar eclipses happen at three in the morning? Oh well.

don't forget about the lunar eclipse tonight.
I've just signed out the observatory keys. The Met office says it will clear up at 3 - please be right!
This was the one last year taken just by holding a digital camera to the eyepiece of my reflector:
The middle three images have a longer exposure time to bring out the colour.

Oh, that sucks. Hope you feel better. A bunch of people at my school last week got the flu, and a lot them people who are almost never sick. I got something, not sure if it was the flu though. Well, you're probaly bored reading about my school and stuff, so I hope you feel better soon!

I just took a five mile walk, got blinded by car headlights and am now undergoing what promises to be a long thawing-out process and, alas alas, cloud cover is absolute tonight.
No blood-doom-moon for me to declaim forthcoming apocalypse to tonight. C'est la vie.
Also, on the sickie thing. Rough luck. I've been signed off work the last three months after being struck down with a lung infection (they thought it was cancer at first! That was a scary week) - I go back next week so yeah, being ill is vile. Speedy recovery to the lot of you.

Argh!! I HATE CLOUDS!
And someone hadn't parked the 'scope properly so I'm going to have to explain it wasn't me now!
Oh it's 4 am - joy

Sorry for hijacking your thread GC, hope you feel better soon and had clearer skies!

I work with kids so I made sure to get a flu shot. Now I can concentrate on not touching the one with the weird mystery rash.

True...I would be considered a statistic for several things. This was just the most creative title for the post I could come up with. What ya want from me...I'm ill...I'm fortunate if I can be creative and witty when I'm 100% healthy
You gonna die.
Just kidding. Get well soon.

Actually when this first hit I truly felt like I could die. This is the crappiest stuff ever.

Cool shots of the eclipse man. Thanks for sharing. The dang clouds were a problem for me then the eclipse actually started. Come the time of the totality of it though we were fortunate to get a clear view.

I'm sad I didn't get to see it with my own eyes, but on the main page of the paper today they had a picture of it, so it's okay.
