panic enduced drama

Postby Tum0spoo » Fri Jan 25, 2008 12:27 am

I was having a panic attack pretty much writing that.

I'll shorten it up.
I need money, my family is in some trouble, and If anyone would like to help by buying a cheap art commission from me it would help.

Examples and info at my FA page below.
Thanks for any help, and sorry about the drama.

Hmm. You sound to be stuck in a fairly vile situation there. However, I don't think the 'net is you solution.

You're saying that nowhere will hire you. When I was 14 years old, I worked in a factory, completely illegally with no contract, no union rights and absolutely hideous shifts, but I made money and contributed to the family (who, at the time, were going through a financial rough patch similar to your situation).

There's always work going, if you look long and hard enough.

I wish you all the best of luck, because you have noble aims going on there. I also wish your father and mother luck; your father needs a lot of support right now and your mother is fighting a tough battle.

Someplace will hire you, even if you are off shoveling driveways for five bucks a pop. The fact that you are begging people on the internet to hire you to draw things makes me think the story is all made up.

You guys are so mean. Probably right, but mean.

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!

If I had the money, I'd be willing to help... but at the moment, I'm poor.

But I have to agree, just keep looking. I was hired illegally the first time (kept that job for 18 months). If you have to, try and work for smaller restaurants that are fairly popular. Many small restaurants hire people under the counter but for good pay (aka, my job).
If you put peanutbutter anywhere on your body, I'll lick it off...

ANYWHERE.

My FA... nothing's on it right now, so there's no point to click it.

Resteraunt is a good idea, I'll second that - they're always looking for dishwashers, and it's not too terribly difficult a job, if you can deal with cooks who are often... quite stressed out, heh.

I've been to anthrocon, just to see what it was like. It will always be one of the stranger things I have done.

My advice to you Tum0spoo/Kelix, If you manage to dig yourself out of this situation, is to leave your family. they are only making things worse for you.

I should've known. I've yet to meet a millionaire that I've liked.

It's story time with Uncle Fox now.

The last millionaire I encountered was the father of the man who knocked down my dog, killing her outright. Now, I'm not the sentimental type, but I did feel somewhat miffed when I was shovelling my trusty companion off the road into the bin. Said millionare ordered his son to return to my house and demand payment for the damage done to his car.

Which, technically, he was legally within his rights to do. I wrote the cheque dutifully, because I knew I didn't have a leg to stand on, but I was utterly appalled. I've never wanted to spit on a person so much as I did then. If I'd knocked someone's dog down, I'd put my own mouth around the curb just in case they wanted to stomp me.
