What the hell is snow?

Canadian rapper Snow scored one of 1993's biggest hits with his single "The Informer." His patois-laced song soared up the pop and R&B charts, even though only hardcore reggae listeners could understand it without a lyric translation sheet. The album 12 Inches of Snow also did well, with the second single, "Girl I've Been Hurt," becoming a hit.

Hey Doc, is that a deliberate double post or mistake?

I always see snow where I am, near the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Totally a mistake. I meant to edit my post to add the quote attribution, but instead of editing the post I just used the browser's Back arrow... big mistake! Please delete the post without the quote attribution.

(And this post, too, if you want. Up to you.)

I was just wondering, the time gap, though small, was what got me wondering.

Those are some nice pictures. Here in Philadelphia, we typically don't get our first measurable snowfall until January.

Snow is so pretty when it first falls. But then it starts to melt, and collect dirt from car tires and exhaust, and you end up with an ugly gray slush.
It is a mistake to fancy that horror is associated inextricably with darkness, silence, and solitude. I found it in the glare of midafternoon, in the clangour of a metropolis...

I've had snow for a couple of nights now. (Yes, I'm nocturnal.)
I was a little surprised. Usually winter where I live consists of nine months of rain with brief freezes and snow flurries and sun breaks.
I used to live in a city where ice storms were more common. It was always windy, too. I could stretch out my arms and let it blow me to the bus stop. Then I would find out school was canceled and spend half an hour trying to crawl the 50 feet back to my house.

I like snow. I don't even mind driving in it. I just don't like all the people who don't know how to drive in it. (just because your car has 4WD doesn't mean you can stop any better than anyone else...)

I'm in Minnesota, and we haven't gotten measurable snow yet. At least...none that's stuck around after it has fallen.

Something is DEFINITELY wrong here...

Curse every single one of you! I miss snow much, we get so little where I live, that when we do, the city goes into panic mode at the first sight of it. =D

It snowed once here, it's all melted now in the low parts of the valley, but they have some still halfway up the mountains.

We're supposed to get more in the near future.

As I type this, it is snowing outside. And I really should be sleeping right now.
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

I've got a few inches here, and some nice -20 Celsius weather. Interestingly, it was a blizzard that knocked out my internet, which is why I haven't been on the net lately.

I really should be sleeping right now.
That's what I'm always thinking.
And we're supposed to get up to six inches today. I'm not seeing any snow coming down at all. Stupid weather forecasts.
