My Missing Time

Ok, so I actually had a very strange experience last night. I went out drinking with Hayley and Alice, two of my flatmates, and after we got back we sat in the living room.

They went to bed and I started watching Shaun Of The Dead...then it gets weird. I went down to the basement with a bottle of beer and a cigarette, and sat looking at the clouds out the window...it was about 1am.

Then....nothing.

I woke up this morning at 7am in my clothes, on my bed which hadn't been cleared of stuff (I've never not cleared my bed...no matter how drunk)

Now, that's not the odd part. When I went to the basement there was my half-drunk beer and half a cigarette...just lying where I had been sitting. Alice said when she came down to the living room that the TV and the lights were all on...

ALSO, our kitchen door broke a while back (the handle fell off inside) and we put a brick so that the door doesn't close (you can't get out of the kitchen otherwise) But the brick had been moved...so how the pants did I get out?

I know it could just be from the beer...but I've been a lot drunker than that and remembered everything AND I also remember absolutly everything from last night except going to bed.

Just freaked me out a little.

A good a reason as any to start quitting?

What? Drinking?

Dude, that was the first time I've drunk alcohol in about three weeks, and it was only four pints...On a usual "night out" I can get to seven and still remember everything.

Maybe you were abducted by aliens who were conducting a test to find out the long term effects of smoking and drinking on human lifeforms.

But seriously though, it sounds like you probably sleepwalked. I've done some pretty weird things when I'm dead asleep... even carrying on intelligible conversations with people that I have no recollection of in the morning. That's probably all that happened. No worries man. :)

I think I know what happened. Sucking that bong you got has introduced extra air into your head. With oxygen comes free radicals, and with free radicals comes aging. You're turning senile before age 30!

Or some junk.

Well, the only way to open the kitchen door is to grab the fire-lock and push it towards the door, grabbing the side as it becomes ajar....

If I did that sleepwalking, I'd be impressed :wag:

People have been known to drive while sleepwalking, so I wouldn't be surprised.

People have been acquitted of murder due to the fact that they were sleepwalking at the time.

I agree with Tom, it's likely sleepwalking. You probably fell asleep while sitting in the basement, as people usually get a blank in their memory for a space of time before they are fully asleep.

Absolutely right. Maybe you just got tired and went to bed without remembering it? Oh, and good choice of movie!
