Yeah it's a little self-centered.

But I'm really excited, and I AM self-centered, so I'm gonna post it!
In approximately 36 hours and 56 minutes I am going to run in the race that kicks off the Houston Rodeo season (ironic since I never go to the Rodeo) - The ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run 10 kilometer race! It's one of the biggest and fastest growing 10Ks in the country - with over 3,000 participants racing and 6,000 participants in the event in all. This is significant because I am actually running this race on a semi-competitive level - competing for an age group prize (award to the first 3 runners in my age group). This is really the first prestigious run I've ever done, since this race attracts runners from across the continent (though granted the majority of runners are local). It'd be really cool if I could win a prize here. Just wanted to make a note of it!
