Well?<br><br>Personally, I'm reading Aksel Sandemose, En Flygning krydser sit Spor (a fugitive crosses his trail (direct translation))<br><br>It's about the childhood of a killer, himself (he never killed anyone), who lived in a town called Jante. This is not the towns real name. In Jante there are a ceartain set of unwritten laws called Jantloven (The Law of Jante). These laws are designed to keep people afraid and obedient. Those that I can remeber are:<br><br>You shall not laugh at <i>us</i><br><br>You shall not think you are better than <i>us</i><br><br>You shall not think you can learn <i>us</i> anything<br><br>You shall not think <i>you</i> are better than us.<br><br>There are 10 in all.<br><br>This book is a good study of human nature as it shows how people react under extreme circumstances.<br><br>A great book.<br><br>So what are you reading?

Myst - the book of tiana. Well, i hope to get reading it very soon anyway! The last book I actually read was <a href='http://www.ottakars.co.uk/Internet/sear ... 0575074019' target='_blank'>Hollow chocolate bunnies of the apocalypse</a> which is decidedly surreal, but fantastic as if you read that description you will see that it contrasts superbly with the traditionalistic elements of it's subject matter.<br><br>It's a change from crime (well, less stupid crime <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... s/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->) and Sci-fi anyway. And damn, I really need to read 1984.

Last thing i read was Dostoyevsky's 'Notes from the Underground.' Not reading anything at the moment.

I'm kinda reading the Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. I'm pretty early into So Long and Thanks for All the Fish. Last book I read was also by Adams (in a sense), Salmon of Doubt, which was quite excellent.

1984.

I just recently finished "The Dilbert Principal" by Scott Adams. Delightful. Right now I'm not reading anything though.

I haven't read any books for pleasure recetly, but I've read several for school:<br>"In the Lake of the Woods" - Tim O'Brien (great book! 5 stars!)<br>"Going After Cacciato" - Tim O'Brien (pretty good)<br>"Othello" - Shakespeare (good, if you like Shakespeare)<br>"Death of a Salesman" - Arthur Miller (sucked)<br>"Oedipus the King" - Sophoclese (I think, I forget the author, but it was a good play)<br>"Catcher in the Rye" - J.D. Salinger (great book!)<br>I've read several others this year, too, including "The Scarlet Letter" (alright at best) and "The Great Gatsby" (ok). I'm going to start "The Grapes of Wrath" soon (I heard it was a real yawner o.o) and I also need to start "Childhood's End," which I hear is great.

Oedipus Rex (by <i>Sophocles</i>) is a great play, i read it last year in class, it's got a really screwy plot.<br>Grapes of Wrath is fantastic Ozymandias the Great, i'd probably say it's one of my favourites, a true epic. Yes, you need patience i guess but it's great, just like your screen name.

Im currently reading.. nothing. I dont have time. well I do somtimes but I recently started playing guitar as a hobbie so. all free time goes to breaking strings and kicking amps.

i <i>was</i> reading something in my level, the second book in the han solo trilogy, it's a starwars book. now i thought i'd read a small book. actually, it was 5:00 AM and i needed to find a good book in MY room since i still needed to read 10 more minutes for homework. so i picked out a louis sachar book, <u>Sixth Grade Secrets</u>. it's kinda more leaning towards a girls book, but it's still good. next i'm going to read The Odyssey. i LURRRRVVVE the odyssey! never owned the illiad...

Oooh. The Odyssey was really good. I read 2 years ago and have been meaning to read the Iliad.
