More birthdays

Postby Muninn » Wed Jan 03, 2007 8:21 pm

Happy birthday to Mage.exe who hasn't been seen since November and SapphireAMoerlevad who, I admit, I don't remember at all.

Are all these birthday topics getting to be too much? Just wanted all your opinions whether I should lay off them.

Nah. There's always room for cake.

I remember Mage.exe... I think.

*wheels out a giant cake for all to enjoy*

Though maybe we should only make birthday threads for folks who are actually here?

Yes, that would be enough.

Or a pinned multi-purpose thread for all birthday postings. But Kelix's approach works too.

I think that for normal members, it's good to have one for individuals (or doubles if it's two on the same day. or triples if it's three on the same day. or quadruples if...)

Yeah, it's nice to get a post acknowledging your existence every now and then, but it's not really necessary for people who aren't here, as they don't really exist. I like the idea of just posting for members who are active, but still having a separate post for each member (or double).

Is this like one of those philosophical views that the existence of what you can't see or experience is nonexistant or cannot be proved to be real, as applied to the internet?

it could, however, serve as a reminder of people who are no longer here but who WERE at one time significant posters.

It was actually a joke. :D

I'm guessing that Jack got it and just chose to be insane. :D

(No offense to Jack of course!)
