Star Fox: Command

So I recall there being a couple of Star Fox fans floating around this forum of ours, so I figured I'd post some thoughts I've been having.
I used to subscribe to "Electronic Gaming Monthly," but the subscription ran out months ago and I never bothered renewing it (out of laziness, I'm sure). Long story short, I haven't been up on anything going on in the world of video games. So I was pretty shocked to see a poster hanging in my local mall advertising Star Fox: Command for the Nintendo DS. I had no clue a Star Fox game was coming to the DS. I was even more surprised to find that it was already out when I was at Wal-mart yesterday.
I ended up buying it since I had the extra cash in my wallet. It took me a while to decide to do so though, since I literally knew NOTHING about the game. But it was Star Fox...that's enough right there, right?
I'm still not sure whether I wanna give the developers points for originality with the control scheme or hate their guts. Controling the Arwing with the stylus and firing with the control pad feels REALLY awkward at first. I'm getting used to it, but I think I still would have preferred a more traditional control scheme. I also kind of miss the strolling levels that are usually found in Star Fox games. Still, the stradegy aspects of this one are interesting.
It's still not the Star Fox sequel I've been waiting for since Star Fox 64, but it's always nice to see these chatacters again.
