Education, DO YOU USE IT?

Postby Tum0spoo » Thu May 18, 2006 5:05 pm

That goes to show you how much the folks around here appreciate a good education. I think it is appaludable.
I thought it'd be cool to know everyone's academic levels. If you're already out of school, post what your final averages were.

As for me, I'm currently finishing up sophmore year of highschool.
Algebra II: A
English II: C-B
Biology: C
Social studies (world cultures): C-B

Electives_
NJROTC: A
Choir: A
HTML: A

Not great, but not bad.

<-- is a highschool drop out (I have extreme difficulty learning in a group)

Instead, I get to be homeschooled which means I get A+ in all my "classes."

It's too bad I can't take the GED until I'm 18. I could be in college already!

I'm in university, therefore I chose "rutabega". I think many among the enlightened will not fault my logic on this matter.

Been almost 5 years since I was in high school. I distinctly remember though that out of my entire class, I was like 1 or two places outside of the top 25% of my class with an 84 point something average. [Of course, when I applied for colleges, Top 25% sounds a lot better than Top 50, especially when you're 25.01%]

Edit: I never did too particularly well in college though, didn't have what it took to go the distance.

I was ok at school until I got into music, when everthing else became dull.

My A-Level results were;

History - D
Media Studies - C
General Studies - E (or "F" if your a yank)
Music - B

And I past last year of Uni with a high 2:1 (a B) and this year with the same.

I passed my last rifle range test with 7 hits, 3 misses.

I also only got 2 minor cautions on my driving test, and I failed my last eye-test by 1.

A-level? wazzat?
If it's what I think it is, we call it. AP which stands for Advanced Placement, where an A is a 5.0 thus, an E is a 1.0 instead of a fail.

A-Level is an Advanced Level, prequelled by an AS-Level. Its done in college before people move onto University and after they pass their GCSE's.

I finished college with a cumulative GPA of, I think, 3.07. This included a few C-'s, most notably in neuroscience, which is why I didn't major or minor in psychology. But my best year was 12th grade: all A's and A+'s, including three AP courses. How I pulled that off escapes me.
