A place to talk about anything (that doesn't belong in the other forums).

Why are they portrayed as being dagger wielding stabbers in all of the comics I read?

FF9 had a black mage named Vivi (or 66) that didn't look like a demented critter.
I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.

It's probably mainly due to 8-bit Theatre's black mage character. Or, as I have heard him called, "Mr. Stab-happy".

well, dark mages in early rpg videogames could only wield daggers, and used them as a last line of offence when the mage ran out of magic spells to use. oh, and you could never see their faces in the ff games, they always had them blacked out and obscured by straw hats.
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.
