Well, that's certainly bizarre. I grew up watching original Warner Brothers cartoons on TV, so I think this new makeover is stupid.
I think several former Warner Brothers are rolling in their graves right now.

Wait.... did you feel that? I think the earth's rotation just sped up.

this is just one of those things that while corporate types think is a great idea, normal people can tell it's a terrible idea from a mile away.

Ok so it isn't just normal people, weirdos like me who think they're a bird can tell it's a bad idea from a mile away.

Yes, things are odd like that, aren't they? For instance.. ads for films. You can tell movies are going to be terrible, and you just wonder how anyone could have ever thought they wouldn't be horrendous.

But yeah, that picture has "bad idea" written all over it.

Well, great... Dark and moody is gonna be the new trend among the normal people...

...I'm speechless and I have a lot to say... I mean, I'd be able to live with this if they were willing to bring back the classic Animaniacs, maybe slightly updated to modern times. Or Freakazoid. But noooo...

I mean, we already have Duck Dodgers, why not leave it at that, people?!

I really enjoyed Tiny Toons and Animaniacs in their time, I watch the classic WB cartoons many times over.

This saddens me but it's the trend after all. I'll not agree with it and I won't support their desicion. Though you have to see it from their view. They are a business, and thus they have to make money or they will have to sell their characters (like Charlton Comics had to) and who knows what others will do to them. Generally because of this they seem to lose a love of tradition or aesthetic faculties (anyone remember what DC turned Superman into in the late 90's) when faced with more material worries. And in that they are correct to worry and if need be, make a few changes. Though I wish so much it wouldn't turn out to be a change to the worse so often (example - what they turned Taz into in Tazmania).

I can be an unabashed elitist when it comes to comics/cartoons even though that's wrong (only slightly ) . We have to remember that ultimately this isn't our desicion but that we are free to ignore/dislike/hate this as much as we want. So long as we don't go overboard too much in our vocal expressions. Fortunately we can choose what to watch and I'll be right there with my fading, but still somehow sincere, nostalgia.

I don't like this idea, I really don't but I can see their reasoning. We still have all the old works.

Heh rambling, let's hope I made sense.
