Define Cynical Fan Forums

I've started writing a "book" of sorts, titled "The <i>Zephyros</i>." It's essentially future fiction. Maybe science fiction, but I'm not sure about that. I've actually had this floating around in my brain for the last 4 months, but I decided to actually turn it into a story.<br><br>Anyways, I have the first "chapter" up. A bit short, but it's a start.<br><a href='http://www.abort-retry-ignore.net/lit/Z ... yros01.rtf' target='_blank'>Chapter 1 - Awakenings</a> [.rtf format].<br><br><br>And by the way, "Zephyros" is the Greek name for the West wind.

Oh, by the way, does anyone here happen to know offhand the order ranks in the (United States or otherwise) military? I'm not sure what they are, and the only reason I supplied a general is because I knew that rank would be fairly high up. But, since this is technically a military vessel (more details on that in later chapters), I'd appreciate it if someone out there could help me figure out the ranks. <br><br>I'd prefer not to have to make up my own ranks, but I may have to do that. Only if I can't figure out the real ones.<br><br>EDIT! Nevermind, found some information. Just need to sift through it. I will probably come up with different rank insgnias eventually. Because I don't quite appreciate the phallic backstory on some of the symbols.
